Australia Freeze Dry Health and Functional Food Association
Freeze dry technology is a noble technology originally used for space food and medical vaccination manufacturing. Recently, with the development of freeze-drying technology, more and more freeze dry products were developed and manufactured into the consumer market, for example, freeze-dried fruit, coffee, etc. There is a big potential for the freeze-dried products and business, However, the freeze-dry concept is new, and freeze dry product is normally 4-6 times more expensive than normal product. Therefore, this new concept is not very well recognized by consumer and manufacturers. Especially in Australia, there is only a limited product range in the market, and limited manufacturers doing such business. Based on a current situation, Australian Freeze Dry Health and Function Food Association is established.
Association Objectives
To define and maintain a high level and high-quality standard of Australian Made freeze dry product, and build up a good reputation of Australian Made freeze dry product.
To promote Australian Made freeze dry product worldwide via a variety of channels.
To develop a connection with worldwide freeze-dry experts, organisation, equipment supplier, and share the latest freeze-dry knowledge technology.
To support and encourage Australian food and Nutraceutical manufacturers to get involved with freeze dry product manufacturing. And provide intensive training to whom interested in freeze-drying technology and engage in freeze-dry technology and business development.
